 Amplify Your Voice: Teen Zine

5 Sessions-Weekly / 7pm PST Oct 14, 21, 28; Nov 4, 11

In this five-session series, teens will use art to explore culture, identity, and social justice through visual art, music, and different mediums. The culminating project is a group “Zine” that includes art with a message and powerful expressions of what a just world looks like for them. Their mini zines can be printed and distributed to share their message with others.

This curriculum is adapted from the AMPLIFY: Summer Arts Workshop experience at Loyola Marymount University created with support from LMU Art Therapy graduate students and teaching artists Laurel Butler, Marissa Herrera, and Matt Bogdanow of C4Lab and Everyday Arts.

The series will be led by Amber L. Cromwell, LMFT ATR-BC. She is a board certified art therapist, arts educator and mental health advocate. Amber is a supervisor in the Helen B Landgarten Art Therapy Clinic and co-director of the Summer Arts Workshop at Loyola Marymont University.
